The Innovation
LIGHT CURED POLYMER IMMOBILIZER
FlexiOH® is the next generation orthopedic immobilization technology invented, developed, patented and delivered world-wide by OrthoHeal. It is indeed, a one-of-a-kind orthopedic immobilizer that blends precision, rigidity, washability and ventilation without compromising a comfortable post-fracture healing experience.
Recovering from bone-fractures often requires strong physical immobilization for long periods of time using orthopedic immobilizing casts. Such casts can be applied for days, weeks, or even months in specific cases. The design and material of FlexiOH® are strate
The design and material of FlexiOH® are strategically engineered to provide superior comfort using a foam, which is bio-compatible (tested as per ISO 10993-10) and provides comfortable cushioning against the hardened polymer. The FlexiOH® immobilizer is also designed to have intermittent hollow spaces that can facilitate air-circulation, sweat-evaporation as well as easy washing and regular cleaning of the skin surface.
Goodbye Stress
Goodbye Stress
Conventional orthopedic immobilization casts that use POP (plaster of paris), Fiberglass or Polyester-based Resins have an infamous history for causing extreme amounts of discomfort and hazards because of aerial-inaccessibility of the skin, resulting from following factors:
- Inability to tolerate exposure to moisture
- Excessive accumulation of perspiration
- Irresistible skin-itching
- Skin infections from fungal or bacterial growth
- Hemorrhage of skin by frequent abrasions
Key Features
FlexiOH® allows the patient to avoid all the limitations of conventional orthopedic immobilization casts with a revolutionary innovation of photo-sensitive polymer-based technology.
FlexiOH® uses patented technology that is easy, zipper-fitted, stretchable, adjustable, mouldable, washable, strong and breathable immobilization casting technology that is imbued with extraordinary features like:

Variants Available
FlexiOH® is available in multiple variants and types, keeping the most pressing orthopedic injuries and demands in focus.
The primary categorical options of FlexiOH Immobilizers are:
How It Works?
Step 1
FlexiOH Selection
Step 1
FlexiOH Selection
Based on the type and region of fracture on the patient, the orthopedic practitioner needs to make a quick and easy selection from different options of FlexiOH immobilizers.
Step 2
Body Measurements
For optimal experience and superior results on the patient, the orthopedic practitioner needs to make body measurements of the targeted body parts requiring immobilization, using any standard measuring tape and choosing the best-fit FlexiOH from different sizes and color variants.
Step 2
Body Measurements
Step 3
Wrapping & Locking
Step 3
Wrapping & Locking
The FlexiOH immobilizer is delivered in its stretchable and flexible sheet-form. It assumes its hardened immobilizing cast-form only after curing with RizyCure. FlexiOH needs to be wrapped around the designated body-part of the patient by the orthopedic practitioner. Using zippers or fasteners, the position of the cast needs to be locked such that it cannot slide or slip into unintended positions. The orthopedic practitioner then needs to proceed with reduction of body part into the final immobilizing posture and ask the patient to keep it still during the curing process.
Step 4
Curing With Rizycure
The curing process of FlexiOH transforms the flexible cast into a hardened cast. This procedure requires RizyCure light curing device. RizyCure is a 100% UV-Free, absolutely non-hazardous light emitting device that operates in the visible range of violet-blue color. The curing process requires a systematic and uniform light exposure for about 3-5 minutes depending on the size of FlexiOH application. The photochemical reaction in FlexiOH almost instantly transforms it into a hardened immobilization cast.

Step 5
Removal
Step 5
Removal
After the immobilization therapy has been accomplished, the orthopedic practitioner can easily remove the FlexiOH immobilizer using bone-cutter pliers (bone-cutting forceps straight double). No additional potentially hazardous equipment such as cast-cutters or spreaders are needed for removing FlexiOH.
Step 6
Disposal
After the FlexiOH immobilizer’s removal, it needs to be carefully disposed of as per the guidelines of medical waste management and under the supervision of an orthopedic practitioner.

The Curing Light
CURING LIGHT DEVICE
Corded RizyCure developed by OrthoHeal, is a curing light device that emits high-intensity 100% UV-free blue light, especially designed to cure FlexiOH orthopedic immobilizers. RizyCure triggers a photochemical reaction in FlexiOH immobilizer technology that results in its hardening and stiffening, more specifically known as, curing of FlexiOH immobilizer.
Corded RizyCure is an advanced curing light device as compared to the earlier battery-powered Rechargeable RizyCure. This was designed specifically to address long exposure issues that potentially arose with the rechargeable version.
